Here comes another stupid question from a XOOPS beginner. Sorry for flooding the forum...

The Forum module seems to work fine for me - at least posting. But when I click a subject line, the following error shows up on a blank page:

Fatal error: Cannot pass parameter 4 by reference in /home/dreng/public_html/sormland/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php on line 256

Anyone knows what is wrong?

PHP5 beta is not supported yet

OK, thanks for your help. My web hotel is using PHP 5.8.0. Does that mean I cant use the Forum module? Have you got any other suggestions of forum modules that should be working?

I would be very surprised if NewBB is the only module not working with PHP5 - there will probably be a lot of others.

What is PHP 5.8.0?? PHP 5.0 is in fourth beta

That's the information I received from my web hotel. So it is not possible even if they switched the numbers by mistake 5.0.8 ---> 5.8.0?

Guess I have to skip the forum at my site for the moment...
