Hello, hopefully I am posting this in the correct area, if not I apologize.

I just got done installing the 2.0.6 files and am left with a few questions since I am a SEVERE NOOB who just recently started with xoops. Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully, I've laid this out in a reasonable way, if there is any info I've failed to include, please let me know.

Problems

doc5215 - html\install\index.php
issue: I do not have a "install" file. I'm thinking this may have something to do with me using fantastico to install XOOPS on my host. Can anyone confirm this? Is it OK for me to not have this and not install this new file?

doc5335 - html\install\makedata.php
issue: again, I don't have a "install" file

doc5275 - html\themes\default\theme.html
issue: I can't locate the new theme.html anywhere in the patch download? Is this a known issue that this file was left out or am I just blind?

While the doc files included are great for showing me where to put everything, I can't find anything relating to these below files and I'm unsure of what to do with them:

newbb_thread
system_block_search
xoopsmembers_searchresults

Right now my site isn't coming up at all for me to look at and I'm assuming it has to do with one of the above problems.

We know there are a LOT of problems with a fantastico install, as it makes a lot of assumptions. It could very well be the source of your problems.

If your site wasn't running 2.0.5.2, you may be missing files and important fixes. Applying a patch would make it difficult then. I suggest getting the complete 2.0.6 package, and copying all the files to the server, overwriting the existing ones installed by fantastico (ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILES FIRST, IN CASE IT GOES WRONG. AND DO NOT OVERWRITE THE MAINFILE.PHP FILE). This way you are sure you have the latest files, all of them. The data is in the database, so you don't have to worry about that, it's safe there.
