I may release a custom version of this theme for the XOOPS community, the gamer7 version has no left blocks etc...

thanks for your comments- next time I have some days off school I think I will try another XOOPS theme- this one was my first, so I hope to get better and make a difference to the community :)

It's great. The fonts are a little small for my old eyes, but, you have left the fonts adjustable for the user... so no complaint there.

Nice job carrying that 3-d tail or rope or whatever that is notion throughout, particularly in the forums. I don't know what it is supposed to be, but, it seems to work.

I note that the theme is somewhat muted in color, allowing the content to get the focus of attention and allowing the content to be the most colorful items. That being said, you might want to include more images with your content so that additional color is provided.

A cheat might be to make your news topic icons more colorful (sony, general, nintendo, industry, etc.) if you don't intend to include images/graphics in your news stories and review articles.

Definitely looks professional. Nice job.

A professional and good-looking site.

How'd you make your Block Titles in the right column partly bold and partly not?

Also, I agree with sunsnapper about the news topic images. Just a few touches of color in those images, probably a different color for every console, would work.

they are hardcoded into the block template- I removed the blocktitle attribute from block_right.html.
for example, here is part of the code for my online block:

I will try and make some changes to the topic icons, and add a few images when I do articles etc :)
