Hi All,
Firstly, I am using and loving xcGal, and have 137 pictures in my gallery already after just a few weeks of using it. And I have to say the EXIF support is a touch of genius, and has automatically added a lot of tech info to my pictures that otherwise would've taken quite a bit of time to do manually.
Anyway, as both a photo and video enthusiast, I was wondering if there was anyway of adding support for video files in xcGal? I tried asking this question several weeks ago at the xcGallery homepage, but got no response. I would most likely be looking at Quicktime or Mpeg4 encoded AVI files to keep the size down. So I was wondering about the following;
(1) Can xcGal support video files in MPEG4 or Quicktime?
(2a) If so, is it possible to get GD to create thumbnails from the video stream?
(2b) If not, is it possible to have this feature added, complete with thumnail creation? Or is it too much work?
I'd really appreciate any advise on this. Thanks.
