PP-News Module from eXoops work with Xoops

Does anyone know if the PP-news module will work within Xoops. I prefer Xoops, particularly for the themes available. I have the module installed, but it doesn't seem to work properly. If you know of a hack where it has been ported for XOOPS I would be eternally gratefull.

I guess I could convert to eXoops, but I don't want to. Do XOOPS themes generally work with exoops?

Short answer: No

Longer answer: e-Xoops is based on an earlier version of XOOPS and will definitely work differently than the current XOOPS. Templates are different, modules are different, themes are different.

I've also read that there was a PPNews for XOOPS 1.3.x and work being done to move it to Xoops2.

But, I don't know if the migrations to Xoops2 is finished, in progress, or abandoned. (I *think* this was an xmode project called xnewsletter, however, I don't know what it's status is since July 2003. In checking more, it appears that xnewsletter was based on PHPlist... YMMV.)

Is there anyone who has translated PP-News to English?

The link above did lead to PP-News but only in German och French.

i've just uploaded an english language pack for this module, used the german pack to translate from.. it may not be a perfect translation but should be more than usable..

I love PP-News although would like to see something like pnTresMailer for PostNuke ported to xoops. Anyway, my question is... I have an install of PP-News on my current site. It shows up fine in the admin area and I can set all of the variables and such. When on the main page though when I click on the link for PP-News I get a "This Module does not exist" error! Any ideas why this would be happening? Seems like for some reason the link isn't pointing to the correct file or something. Where should I look?
