IPB Module has its own registration different from xoops

I haven't noticed.. when someone goes to the ipb (invision power board) module there's a link for 'register'. and after clicking on that link it takes you to:

/modules/ipboard/resources/Register.php

this is a bit different from the XOOPS registration.. is there a way to convert that link in the /modules/ipboard/index.php to the XOOPS registration page?

matter of fact I would like to replace the XOOPS login with this registration from the ipb board for xoops.

but I would like to add some more fields to it and some from the XOOPS registration (like timezone and website, dob, etc)..
