Greetings to all. Just a quick question: where can I get my hands on the news module. I need it and dont have a copy of it. I also cant find it in the downloads section. DOes anyone know where it may be.

It comes with xoops. Just go to your modules admin and install it.

Once you have it up and running, for fun you can try out the Spotlight News module. It doesn't replace your news, but it does, sort of... You can get it http://www.wellwine.net

It acts like a front page headling fancy sort of thing. Pretty good actually.

Ah yes. I knew you would say this....but i dont have it part of my package...the news module that is. Is there a place to get it.....or do I have download the whole tar and take it out of there.

Download the whole tar and copy the news module to your modules directory. Then you can install it. You could also use wfsection to create your news stories.
