After many months Gogle has finally visited my site. I've made some research but my posts in the forums, links, and downloads don't show in gogle. Do i have to tell XOOPS how to behave with the spy or does it do it automatically.

Version 2.5.2

Thanks and happy 2004 to all xoppers

You haven't posted your site url to look at. So here's a question: Do you use javascript in your site menus? If so this may be the reason why some links and pages have not been indexed. Many people don't realise that javascript can block SE bots. There may be other reasons, so post more details.

Re: At last

I use javascript in my themes and google finds all of my pages that have words in them that are searched for.

Google finds all of my pages also. One of my XOOPS websites was ranked #1 and the newbb forum was ranked #2 by google for the same search term...

Works great...

Thx all for the quick replay. I think it might be because my site isn't installed in the root of the server but inside a directory. Could be that?

Thx again.

Script_fu I was just wondering if your #1 & #2 sites had a high pagerank?

My site still suffers - 0/10 pagerank

Re: At last

It was a mustang site for used auto parts. Had a page rank of 6 on google. I have since torn it down. I have a few othe sites with a page rank of 6 and still in the hunt landing anywhere from 1 to 9 in the world. XOOPS is very impressive as far as spiders go.
