Gallery Installation Problems

I am trying to install the gallery in XOOPS 2.0.5.1 but when I get to the end and it says that the admin account has been set up and click below to enter the gallery, it doesn't allow me in, it says I don't have permission, not even giving me a chance to say I am the Admin. I have even CHMOD the files back to what it says. At the top of this screen it says:

Warning: fopen(/home/ibanez/public_html/albums/.users/1044675860:1046912273.0): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/ibanez/public_html/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 53

But changing the CHMOD on this file and directory doesn't help.

I have been at this for hours now and would appreciate a reply.

Which version of the xoopsgallery module did you install?

The one that came with XOOPS 2.0.3 I never installed any other gallery module.

It sounds like you have an older version of XoopsGallery (or even the original Gallery module), but I'm not sure. Try uninstalling it, deleting it from the webserver, then uploading the latest version from:

http://xoopsgallery.org/

I uninstalled version 1 and deleted it. Now I have installed 1.33 and go into the gallery rom the main menu i get:

Error: Could not open lock file (/home/ibanez/public_html/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album01/photos.dat.lock)!Error: Could not open lock file (/home/ibanez/public_html/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album01/album.dat.lock)!Error: Could not open lock file (/home/ibanez/public_html/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/albumdb.dat.lock)!

Checking the directories, these files do not exist, the admin directory is empty. In the admin, everything is green and fine, so i can't see hat the problem is.

Forgot to read the README....

Note to other nitwits, always read the README Files in modules... it explains a lot of headaches.
