I have a question. I recently uploaded XOOPS to my shared server, and loaded content without a hitch.. XOOPS rules!!

However whenever I type the domain name in the browser the directories show up and not my domain? ex(myserver/html/xoops/index.php instead of http://www.mydomain.org).. What did I do wrong??

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Ok, you could have uploaded the files in the HTML folder to your site's root folder, which woiuld make the url be http://www.yourserver.com/index.php. What you can do now is download the files from your server to your harddrive, change the paths in mainfile.php manually, removing the html/xoops/ parts, and upload the files to your server root folder. Update the cache files by going to system admin -> preferences -> general settings, and click go at the bottom of the page. This should do the trick!

Herko thanks for the rapid reply..

I uploaded them into the /www/ directory. When I type the domain http://www.auctionsamerica.net it goes to the correct page and everything works. But it shows the path in the address bar and I do not wish it to show that. I didn't start the thread with good info..sorry..
