Hi friends!

I have a little question:
i have a small PHP script, that displays "Quote of the day". It works when i point to it (www.host.com/quotes.php) but i can't let it work in a block! I create custom PHP block, and <? include ("quotes.php"); ?>. But the block is blank. I try to create a block with the whole script, but the result is the same.

Any ideas?

There is already a module for quotes in the download section of this site if you wish to use something that will work.

BTW take out the <? and ?> tags and just have the include part and choose save as php when you create the block. You don't use php tags when saving as php for the blocks.

there is a random quote module for xoops. go to modules/themes under communities or do a search.

To be more specific here are DL's for these modules:

Both are the same modules I believe except one was modified.

~Theres also wfquotes by Catz, his site is closed at the mo, however should you really need a copy then pm me, I've not tested any of these but seen them in action and all look good.

:) I know about those modules, but i want to use exactly this, because my site is on bugarian language :)
Thank you guys and girls, i'll try to use include without the <>

EDIT: I placed the whole PHP script in the block, it works without the <? ?> :)

That's great milanov! I had to learn to do that too by reading another thread on this board that told how to create a block with php. I kept trying over and over again to get php scripts to work with the whole script in it.
