wfsections 1.01 not working correctly

I've posted a few times around the forums with no response. I upgraded from a previous version of wf sections to the latest 1.01 version on an XOOPS 2.0.3 install.

there are two probelms:-
a) configuration changes are nopt being saved - I wondered if this might be a chmod issue but I've done everything I can think of to fix this.

b) Although all articles are visible, and reachable and show their categories and althought the categories are visible when I click on them no articles show up.

Any ideas?

i managed to fix my problems with wf sections - it was so easy it hurt :)

I just uninstalled the module and then reinstalled it and it was all working ok... with one proviso!!! I lost all my articles and had to recreate each by hand. Thankfully all my were external html files on the server so all I had to do was recreate them in the right order (for article ID links) and there were only 14 anyway.

But I hope this may help anyone else who has a similar problem when upgrading to wf section 1.01

Hi Andrew,

First I can only apologise for not reading your post before hand.

It looks like your problem was due to you not updating the module with the upgrade script that was with the package.

If this was not the case, could you tell me which version you had installed previous to this one?

thanks for getting back to me.

It's possible that it was due to me not doing the upgrade script.

I don't know what it is with wfsection but I can never find any documentation in the downloaded file - even basic instalation instructions would be fine.

If I missed something that explained that I needed to run the update script can you point me at it so I know for next time :)

I'm not really sure what you mean about 'the upgrade script' - I could find one by looking in the zip page for wf sections 1.0.1 - I did update the module once it was ftped. I got this result...

is that what you mean?

version of XOOPS is the latest version.

I should add that this is my second XOOPS site I was trying to instal the latest version of wf section, the first I could do by resubmitting the few articles it had this is site has more articles and so would be difficult to do this way.

You need to execute the file wfsupdate.php via:

http://www.mysite.com/modules/wfsection/wfsupdate.php

This should help you
