Blank Page and UGLY HTML

When I get a blank page, and view the source, I see UGLY HTML in all caps that doesn't look like the xhtml compliant source code I am used to seeing.

Where is this coming from? Any thoughts?

Note: The reason I'm particularly interested in this is I am hoping it gives me a clue as to why I get either a blank page or a "Module Does Not Exist" error when remapping my URLs using mod_rewrite.

Works fine: http://www.brilliantenergy.com/modules/wfchannel/index.php?page=1

Doesn't work:

I think the blank page is a server generated file. It's not XOOPS generated, because XOOPS uses XHTML 1.0 Transitional (which is declared in the theme.html file). So the blank pages are either server-generated or browser generated...

Great... I'll look for a default server page. I didn't think it looked like Xoops.
