After I downloaded 2.0.5 and Upload all the files to my server .... do i find the installation file and install it???
If i do then i am getting problems
1. Is the XOOPS Physical Path the same as the Database name?
2. It says that the URL of my data base host is wrong and i know it is right. (ftp.hypermart.net

What should I do?? If someone can do it for me or can show me how to do it ... that would be GREAT .... Email me at SmokinJrUSH@hotmail.com

1. The physical path isn't the same as your database name. It should be like /path/to/your/xoops/directory.

ftp.hypermart.net is what you use to upload your files.
The directory where XOOPS is, is something like:
http://www.hypermart.net/
So If you have XOOPS uploaded to the directory Xoops, the adres is :http://www.hypermart.net/Xoops

you sure the database url is ftp.hypermart.net? Sounds like your webhoster's FTP.

I usually have no problems with letting XOOPS find the physical path itself - and then take the database details from my host. Usually the database url is localhost.

ok i got past that ... now when it trys to connect to the host it says its invaild ... here is what i tryed:
1.localhost
2.www.Hypermart.net
3.hypermart.net
4.http://www.Hypermart.net

none of those work ... what should i do?

Contact your ISP for explicit database details (url, username, password etc.)

you will need your ftp "username" and "password", host should be "localhost" and your MySQL data base is likely "hypermart_net" or something like that.
