Using XOOPS 2.0.3.

I would like to be able to upload a file to a folder under XOOPS when adding a new download to the "Downloads" modules. The new download would link to the newly uploaded file instead of linking to some other file off site.

Alternatively, a module or hack to add an upload or file manager feature to XOOPS would be great.

Any pointers, anyone?

Just to let you know that we at X-Mode are in the process of adding upload capabilities to the download module.

We will inform everyone once it is due for release.

This would be absolutely wonderful. I've always thought it odd that the downloads module doesn't allow for uploading the submitted file. Without and upload feature, the download module is really not much more that an alternative Weblinks module.

A download feature will be particularly useful in an InTRAnet environment where the files should be stored on the web server and the IT staff just want to get them on the server in as few simple steps as possible.

I'm particularly interested in getting upload capability added to the download module for a software users group website where I want my registered users to be able to easily upload their files when they submit a new download.

Adding this upload capability to the download modules would certainly go a long way toward rounding out the "content management" features of Xoops.

PS. To the developers: XOOPS freaking ROCKS MY WORLD!!

2) when I add a file trough the user menu, it doesn't upload at all, but it links on the same way as trough the admin area
