The RC1 (Release Candidate 1) of Publisher is available for testing.

You can download it from GitHub.

You can also fork it from there, and submit your improvements or bug fixes.

We encourage everybody to open an account on GitHub and get used to working with Git, as this is the current Industry Standard.

Please note:

a) This version is developed and tested ONLY on XOOPS 2.5.7.1
b) this is RC-1, so your testing and feedback is appreciated
c) the TCPDF library has been updated and moved to

/xoops_lib/vendor

If you would like to test PDF, you can download it from our SVN as well (use the "Download Snapshot" link)

We'll be offering it soon on GitHub as well.

We are also looking for help with the Tutorial for Publisher and for few other modules.

You can fork the Publisher Tutorial in GitHub, and then use GitBook to modify it, or you can modify it manually, directly in GitHub, or on your local PC with your own editor.

The beauty of this approach is that once you learn how to use GitHub, you can use these skills for both source code and for Documentation

hi

is this problem solved?https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=359233#forumpost359233

I found the problem: generated pdf get in header the mime-type "application/force-download", but I do not know, why.

I found only a solution, but IMO the source of the problem should be solved.

xoops 5.2.7.1
theme newoni-dark xbootstrap
php 5.5.29

I just installed the RC-2 version today. Install went without issues, creating an article went fine, when testing editing an existing article i encountered some css incompatibility, and a more serious issue that when editing an existing article it doesn't save correctly.
Also displays non-parsed html after attempting to save.

I'm pretty sure the css problem w/1st pic is all about the newoni-dark theme not adjusting to content size. At least in part. Tiny mce may have a min width req thats messing with display too.

Can you check if you have the same issues with the xBootstrap theme, and with the other themes provided with XOOPS?

I want to make sure that this is indeed a Publisher problem and not the "theme" problem related to the "newoni-dark xbootstrap" theme.

And thank you so much for testing!

I tried with "just" the xbootstrap theme, and it is the same.
More troubling is after editing and saving an existing article, it disappears. The article is gone.

It IS still a usable module as far as I can tell. But there's no editing after you create an article at this point.

There might be some issues with the templates.

Please try again with the xBootstrap theme, but please first clear cache, and then update both the System module, and Publisher, and let me know if that helped.

Yeah it still deletes the article.
I changed to xbootstrap, I did a system and publisher module update, I created the article which displayed fine, I edited the thing from the user side, and it disappeared after save.

Purging caches all the while.

It's a publisher thing.
