I assume, you have copied the files from 1.24 over the files from 1.10, correct?

If you did, then there might be a problem - it seems like Catzwolf changed the structure of the DB, but didn't include an "update" file for it.

If you can, I would suggest to convert to SmartFAQ, as it is more rich in features, and has a better chances of being maintained. How many questions do you have in your DB?

Tatane, your comment pains me a lot!

1) I was NOT suggesting to USE it, but a request to TEST it!

I have published the updated version that was provided by Catzwolf (see changelog). I have not tested any updates from 1.10, assuming that it was done by him. I was testing only a fresh installation, which is working fine.

But that's what Beta and RC versions are for - to test and see if it works, so we can address any bugs or issues.

2) The problem is that very few people are helping by testing Beta or RC versions, and the issues are only becoming visible when they are trying to update a production installation.

As you can see from this thread, the XoopsFAQ 1.24 RC has been released, but there was no single comment about any results from testing.

3) A Beta version or RC version are NOT for a production site. So if you install it on a production site, you're taking the risks involved with it.

We can help, if there are issues, but PLEASE DO NOT GET UPSET if a Beta or RC version has bugs, because it is not fair to the developers! Those versions are released for TESTING only!

You dont need to argue aboat xoopsfaq.
It is a dead module.
Smartfaq has a built-in import script for xoopsfaq and wf-faq.
Just install it and go to smartfaq/admin/import.php
Side note: as i always said we dont have enough resources (developers, time) to update all modules so we have to select best one in each category.
As for faq we can update/debug/develope smartfaq and leave others.
