Thanks for the new thread, and great it has always been my intention to make our Afghan Hound Pedigree database the best on the net

Here is my list of features we wanted for our database, some done some not, sorry its in a bit of a muddle, many enhancements have already been implemented and i will try to list these separately,

Pedigree view Move title field to before the dogs name so UK CH will show before the name and above the photo

Admin only fields

Count of number of photographs & if possible list of latest added,
Validation queue photos - Latest photos added
(to be combined with Alf's audit system)
Date record created field & date record updated & by who - Alf's audit systemn )IN PROGRESS)
un-editable fields - locked fields - to be set when complete data entered for a dog - Alf's audit system
User interface for edited records DONE

Challenge Certificate field so it can be linked to Lesley Busby's CC lists, UK dogs only

Photo Icon to appear on all views of dog eg on breeders/owners side

Option for more generations in pedigree view including print pedigree

Add against the names of stud dogs is the NUMBER of litters sired eg
a dog may have sired 60 puppies sometimes this could be in 5 litters or
in 10 litters

Pie charts do not work

Co breeders/owners drop down choice
Make Alternate Country of Registration drop down choice

Make choice of sex not a default and add sex 'not known'
eg choices male, female, not known

Litter - virtual pedigree that can be saved

I ask about security in Yahoo-Groups

Meantime I build my own database with similar functions and before I change back there must be script up to date. Security is very important...

All Inserts und Select Statements are now done in mysql, without big security-check - IDs can check with int ....

Hello Pedigree Group members,

It think it would be a great improvement if we could use Tabs in de general view of
the Pedigree module.
In the old pedigree module all information is on one page.
If you have a lot off fields this page becomes very long and you have to scroll down.
And you don`t have a good overview.

If we can use Tabs, You will have a better overview and you don`t have to scroll down.
It would be great if you could create this Tabs in the admin area of Xoops.
I included a print screen to give an idea how it could look like.

I think, in April, we'll be able to focus on Pedigree!

Please ask Alf to subscribe to http://www.sourceforge.net so we can add him to XOOPS Team, and then he'll be able to commit changes directly to our SVN.

I'm sure Alf will subscribe to sourceforge when he has a minute and here too hopefully

If we want to add a animal we have to point out who the father and the mother is.
In the old version you must first pick the first letter and after that you have to click on the page number where you think your animal is.
If you have a big pedigree there could be more than 10 pages.
Then you have to scroll down to find the right one.





I think it would be a great improvement if we could use a search function.
