If you do not want those, you may be able to remove them from the module template in a html editor.

Or you can rename the module...

Of course you could do that but this is a testing/troubleshooting thread for the developers not a hack thread.

Seems you already have tested it. I have tested all the modules I use, and mylinks suits me wonderfully.
