I have followed the basic install guide. However when I visit the the url I can't continue after selecting a language, it simply reloads. The site is located in a subdomain which I suspect is the problem. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Lets start with a couple basic questions...

What version of xoops are you trying to load?
What version of PHP are you using?
What version of MySQL are you running?

Do you have Javascript enabled for the site?

Sounds like you either do not have all of the files in place, have the wrong version of PHP loaded or have Javascript turned off.

There is a file check procedure you can do to make sure you have all of the files but first lets start with what versions of stuff you have etc.
