I have xoops 2.5.5 installed. This morning I uninstalled the weblinks module but that resulted in (debug is on) this page:

Please, can anyone help me out?

I have done a restore and everything looked fine again. However, 15 minutes later everything is bad again

Did you uninstall weblinks in administration or did you delete the folder?
What do you mean with restore?

Oh, and you have a problem with the iplog module. 4 and 6 seconds for a query is not acceptable. Try set up proper index keys for the module tables or simply uninstall the module!!!

I did uninstall through admin and managed to reinstall before I was locked out so that's why you still see the weblinks module. I indeed notice the IPlog problems but can't do anything at this moment. I restored the backup from the server. It was the last working situation (yesterday). Thanks for the suggestion trabis.

None of the errors above will cause the problem you're seeing.

Are you sure your server configuration has not changed?

Are you locked out of the 'main' admin control panel or just when trying to administer the weblinks module?

Check to make sure you have the latest versions of all the modules you have installed (weblinks, smartobject, TDMPicture, shoutbox, newbb, Iplog, videotube, birthday, others?) and that they're compatible with the version of XOOPS/MySQL/PHP that you have installed.

Another thing to try - disable Protector module (if installed/enabled). You may be running into issues with filtering that is locking you out...

as it seems, everything is back to normal for now. still, what may have caused it?

Problem is getting weirder. This morning I installed wflinks which went fine. I then modified theme.html to show the link in a top menu. Uploaded it and got a blank page as a result and an admin page with just the menu. UNdoing the modification and reupload the theme.html didn't bring things back. uploading an untouched theme.html same results. After all the changes I did a cache clean. I'm rather puzzled as I never had this before.

Perhaps you should check your ftp client.
I use FileZilla and I had to change settings of transfer type from 'Automatic' to 'Binary'. Some times the files were uploaded as ASCII and they would cause blank pages.
