I make same lither change on xfguestbook. version 2.51
1. I add a banner on the xfguestbook index page
2. I change the image identity.png
3. I update the spanish language to version 2.51

I start to debug newbb and i find many bugs. Almost 95% of bugs are left from 2004 (newbb 2) and 2005 (cbb 3).

it list all topics as unread for me when i am logged in but i read all of them.
( i even send a post in this topic but it list this topic as unread for me very funny)
So for example the above bug is exist in all newbb versions in the last 10 years.
So it is really surprising at least for me that No Body report these bugs in xoops.org forum or other places in the last 10 years
( in 365*10 = 3650 days!!!!).
Unfortunately people mainly think if a module is working without errors/warning/notices it is a stable and fully functional module. But a module must do the task correctly. for example: if the forum module has a "unread" feature it should list the unread topics. if it list some topics in random or new replied topics it is totally buggy. And functional bugs are much more important than simple error/warning/notice/typo bugs

Final word:
what do you mean when you said you want a newbb stable version?
1- If you want to have a forum that users send posts and topics on it so all newbb versions are stable. the 4.3 is recommended.

BUT

2- If you want to have a newbb that all functionality work correctly no newbb version is completely stable until now.
irmtfan branch latest revision is the most stable version at this time: (2012/10/13)
