This is requested by one of my users on my site. Have played around with the preferences in the module. But this seems to be not possible.

I think it is a good idea to have this feature in next version of Xoops/the PM module.

Thanks, I doubt that hack from 2004 will work with latest Xoops. But maybe worth a try.

Please core team. Add this feature to next Xoops version. All others CMSes and forum software have this.

PM module is not developed for many years (say 5-6 years i think).
I have a long long list of features to add to this pm module but priority of other modules like core, core content module and core profile module is much higher.

some of the missing features are:
- set the permission like that users belong to group X can send pm to users belong to group Y
- ability for users belong to group X to send group pm
- user can set auto-response message and activate it after X days from last login.
- set a limited number of pms that a user belong to group X is permitted to send per day.
- add html support
- user can add a black list from users - auto reject with a pre-defined message.
- email notification
- ....

My list is longer than above but honestly implementing the above features need a full time working for one week!
