Newbie confused trying to find modules

I am embarressed to have to ask this sorry, I installed Xoops yesterday in the hope of seeing if it will meet my needs, so far so good, but I cannot make sense out of trying to find the modules I need to continue and what I have found seem to be years out of date, these being;
News
Forum
Contact
Members pages
Gallery
ability to install Tufat chat
ability to create custom pages
ability to create an IFrame page
These will give me the basics to start off if anyone is willing to help?

Welcome to XOOPS!

As a start, try the "Basic Module Pack". We'll be adding some more modules to it later on...

Let us know how the installation go and if you like the modules.

As a XOOPS Beginner, it will be easier for you to start with these modules, as they have a consistent GUI and behavior. They have been modified with people like you in mind - who are just starting with XOOPS.

Most of the these modules are long time in use and the only thing changed is the GUI, so while there might be still some small bugs related to GUI, overall they are pretty much tested and solid.

And as a beginner, we would love to hear your feedback on usability - what was easy for you, what could be improved.

You can start by installing "ModuleInstaller", and then install all modules at once. See this article about it
