Hi all,

I just started using Xoops with the latest version 2.5 .

So far everything works fine, but:

How do I move links which are automatically put by the module installation to "Main Menu" to "User Menu" or any other navigation-menu ?

I really searched this forum a long time to find an answer, but i did not find anything related.

Is there a module which can generate pages and a navigation (to example: navigation menu with more than one Main menu and many submenu items on the left and clicking on one of the navigation menu items the linked page will appear in the main part of the site ?)

So far I tryed the modules content, info and icontent, but the results were never as expected.

Does anyone know a good module ?

Thanks in advance, Jochen

Hi Mamba,
this morning I already tryed out MyMenus, but using that module I was totally confused. I could not handle it.

I surely can also make custom blocks, but to example if I create one naigation-block (left side) and another block for the center, how can I link those 2 blocks ? In other words: Inside the left side block I insert my links and clicking on such a link I need to appear the linked block in the center (mainpart) of the site.

Isn`t there a more simple solution for it ?

thanks in advance, br, Jochen

Now, I am confused

What are you trying to achieve?

Normally, we don't link to blocks, but only to module's content.

For example, if I know the link to a content, e.g. a News link like this, I can use this link to enter it into MyMenus, and when I click on the menu link, this News article will show up.

If you give us more details, maybe we can help.

Hi Mamba,

that`s right, and so I need minimum 2 modules ?
Mymenus and the news module ,

I thought of one software I can use for all of it in one go.

Anyway, I will try this now, thank you so far, br, Jochen

DH-Info can do it for you, but if you didn't like it, you can also test the upcoming "fmContent" module - it will enable you to post news and create menus. But it's still in development, so it's not for a production site.

mhhh, DH-Info crashed my system so I had to remove it.

Anyway, I will try it all manually. Creating menu-blocks and linking to other hidden module`s contentpages.

Thank you for your help, br, Jochen

Try fmContent - Voltan is working very hard on it and it's getting closer to a release.
