Hi,
Can anyone recommend the best and stable versions for apache, php and mysql? For some reason I cannot go through the 2nd page of installation using the following versions:

Apache 2.2.17
PHP 5.2.14
Mysql 5.1.55

Thanks!

Which XOOPS version are you trying to install?
The versions look good.
Did you set the required permissions for the special directories and files?
Do the file check (see release notes) to verify all files are present.
If your server has problems with PHP files outside the document root, leave xoops_lib and xoops_cache inside the document root during installation.
After installation try to move or rename them (adapt mainfile.php accordingly).

Normally the requirements are stated in the release notes:

System requirements for 2.5.x
-----------------------------------------

PHP:
Any PHP version >= 5.2 (PHP 5.3+ is strongly recommended)

MySQL:
MySQL server 5.0+

Web server:
Any server supporting the required PHP version (Apache highly recommended)
