Hello everyone,
Searched existing forums and found no relevant threads.

xhld0 module will only work with fopen selected in prefs (not too safe to have that even enabled) or the rss feed read/update will fail. Anybody got snoopy working with xhld0. I see the snoopy class file exists but not sure what dependencies are required.

Thanks as always

Thanks, yes reviewed that earlier but just noticed a possible snoopy failure mode under https. Is that what you meant in your reference post? While url_fopen reads https feeds perfectly, switching to snoopy mode under prefs returns

Failed saving data to database for headline Category1
Could not open file:https://www.rssfeedsite.com/index.php/createfeed/Category1%20/1?lang=any

for all feeds when I go to click update from feed setup area.

by comparison, the reference case you pointed to, the user appeared to be running snoopy successfully for all feeds except for one.

This server does not run in plain http mode.

Losing xhldo,
Using Javascript RSS reader in top page script block.

sounds like xhldo needs to be updated to use CURL instead of fopen...
