Blank Admin Page

Hi guys,

I know a bit of HTML and CSS, that's about it. I have no knowledge of Databases or PHP so I am at somewhat of a loss.

When I attempt to access the administration panel of 2.5 it simply brings up a blank white page with absolutely nothing on it.

Do you guys have any idea why this might be? If you can provide you with further info, please do ask.

Cheers,
Chris

You should as beginner not use 2.5 as it is a version for testing only.
If you are setting up a website with XOOPS, you should use 2.4.5

If your host have PHPMYADMIN, open your Databse in there.

and look for the table that hold the configuration usually

databasename_config

browse and look for DEBUG table

change the value from 0 to 1

then when you reload admin it will show you whats the errors.

If you get something like cp_functions.php on line 29 error , then double check you are using PHP5 in your hosting

Hi.
I have updated my site from 2.4.5 to 2.5.0 and now I also have blank admin page. The debug function doesn't show any bugs like the one posted above. Also, I found another thread with 2.4.5 blank page bug and there was suggestion to disable modules in phpmyadmin and see if that helps. So I did that, disabled everything except system module, but nothing has changed - still totally blank admin page.

Any other solution maybe? Everything was ok before the 2.5 upgrade.

2.5.0 introduced some .htaccess files and some instructions in it are not suitable at all servers.
Try if it works better by removing some temporary.
Verify also if all files were correctly overwritten by doing the file check (see release notes).

What "temporary" should I remove?

Also, checksum.php shows only one thing:

./include/license.php content invalid
