Hi,

I've recently installed xoops on a sub-domain to test how xoops works. When it's time to register new user to test if the registration is working, I didn't received any validation email from the admin. And I've tried numerous times sending email through the xoops admin panel, but still no luck.

After searching in Google and on this forum, I've found no answers for my problem. Anyone can help me?

Regards,
Chloe

Do you have an email box with the (main) domain?
Verify the settings in the mail preferences. There are three posibilities. Altough the default mosttimes work, some servers may need other settings. See also your hosters documentation for sending mail by PHP. With eg SMTP, username and password, it is possible to connect to the emailaccount of your adsl or cable ISP.
