News 1.63 and Xlanguage problem

I have news module version 1.63 and Xlanguage 3

I use block "news_block_top.html" Its working perfect exept that when I use [en][/en] language tags around the title it doesnt work in that block on title, but it works on title when I read the news and everywhere else.

Probably the title is too long... but you can extend it in DB... We had the same problem on xoops nordic...

If the titles work OK on some pages, then it is not a question of having the field length in the database table for storing the title with the necessary tags and languages.
Some titles etc are for some purposes truncated to x characters by the module. This ruins the language switching and can have very strange effects.
For this there should be a call to single out the required language part first, after which the text can be correctly truncated.

Still think you can just extend the field length for the block title for that block... It's only the block title that is the problem, right?
