hello tjnemez,

hard to reproduce this error.
did you try deactivating "Use gzip compression?" or setting
"Use custom session" to come to a nearer error description ?

hey guys,

i thought i would post this in case someone else experiences a 406 error. it was an issue with my isp:

We are currently in the process of rolling out a fix for the 406 errors you are receiving. The security settings rolled out with the new Apache release were too tight. The fix we are rolling out will take care of these problems and stop the 406 errors. Please allow 2 hours for the fix to be rolled server wide.

thanks again,

From the previous posts it seems a server configuration of some security measures, that are too tight.
Contact your hoster.

AFAIK, the 406 error is not generated by XOOPS.
Can you elaborate how exactly you obtain this error?

Is it dependent on browser?
Or theme?
PHP and MySQL version used?

Can you simulate it on eg a local XAMPP server?
What are the needed steps? (core install, module (which) install, example data, method to obtain the error)?
