PD-Download problem

I'm running PD-Downloads version 1.2 on a Xoops 2.4.4 platform.

This is very strange... It worked fine on my localhost but after uploading it to the live server, it looses ALL categories and files.

The files are on the server, the tables and dumps are in the sql database, but PD-Downloads says there are no categories and no files

Help!!!!

Are the permissions set correctly?

Any debug errors?

all the permissions are correct and there are no debug errors.

Just nothing shows up. :(

There are no categories created, no files existing, etc

I assume that you've copied the tables from your PC to the application live, correct?

I would suggest to reinstall PD-Downloads fresh, and try to add something on the live server to see if it adds properly new categories and files.

It's possible that you missed some data in your transfer (or some dependency on other tables), and therefore the content is not available to you.

I just imported the entire mysql database, so I can't see how I might have missed something

You did copy every single table in it to an empty database?
PHP and MySQL versions of both stations?

I ended up scrapping PD-Downloads and now I'm having to enter 650 downloads manually into TDMdownloads

Wish they had an import for pd-downloads :(

Did you name the directory where you installed PD-Downloads on your live host exactly the same as on your localhost?

If all the data is there - then it shouldn't be too hard to figure out why it's not showing up. You may just need to 'dump' a few variables to see what test is failing. I'd start by 'debugging' ./admin/category.php
