We get broken links for some files uploaded into the database during a period of time. however the files in cPanel are in this directory: /home/asianfi/public_html/modules/wfdownloads/uploads/notaccess/gawuag/

How do I revert it to make these files accessible for download again? If you go to this link (http://www.asianfisheriessociety.org/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=897) and click download, this error message will appear

the webhost said that they could not do anything.

Thanks for any help.

Are you sure the file is there?
If I take eg the Guide for Authors 2010 (/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=957)
This files seems OK to download and saves as afs4b70cc0895e9f.pdf
I can retrieve this also directly by /modules/wfdownloads/uploads/notaccess/gawuag/afs4b70cc0895e9f.pdf

However with the broken file, which lists as fractalfile://afs4a265b0c9c3b2.pdf the file is not present as /modules/wfdownloads/uploads/notaccess/gawuag/afs4a265b0c9c3b2.pdf
Should it not?

Version XOOPS, WF-Downloads?
Are you using this hack?
Maybe it is not setup correct anymore?

i suspect that these files were probably deleted when the web host server crashed. i tried other files not accessible and they are there in that folder with not access. we might need to look into the scripts. but i know that the files are still there coz the file size is still showing. usually if the file is not there anymore the file size will be zero.
