@someone yeah you're right.But the piece of code is actually not doing any good or bad so I simply removed.

About the jquery it seem most themes are already using jquery in some extend so also this is now gone ;)

p.s. saw you had added new json "$xoopsLogger->activated = false;" so also I added ;)

Hi Guys,
I tested both chat mods.
- XIM works partially. Seems messages are not refreshing/sending the messages. To view my friends message I have to refresh my browser.
- For instantmessenger mod - chat box shows up but when friend tries to send message it says undefined.

Probably you guys can tell us how to prepare the browser and if any files need to be installed. I am using XOOPS 2.4.4. Some of us are using custom themes so might need to add some code?

it should work with only jquery installed in your theme :)

I can't really test this module yet...in localhost im all alone - no other online user..currently have problem with access to my real server...will test soon...can't wait

2. Culex's IM - i tested it by sending my message to myself in localhost (lol) and also test it in culex.dk.

question
how long actually the history of chat (offline message) are keep when we send message to a user who are currently offline

this is nice--like facebook

suggestion
- about the online status..no need to display my own name..
- if no user are online..display no online
- will be nice if there's a single page to show online members offline members -
- or integrate with user account info and whos online block
so user can send mesage also to offline members



i actually have a modification i made to the trabis membership module index page and user account info to show online and offline members based on this code

it will be complete to have 'chat with user right now' in both members index page or the user info page

Found a bug with XIM (on XOOPS 2.5a)

When a user you've been chatting with logs off, the chat window remains open and the block still displays that other user as being on-line.

to solve the conflit between jquery codes (in the theme and the module), edit the file templates/blocks/b_instantmessenger.html
and in the line 41 use :
jQuery.noConflict();  
jQuery(document).ready(function($) {

instead
$(document).ready(function(){

That just gives me a "jQuery is not defined" error and the same as before

great maybe we should wait till after the merging is completed then test that release.
