Hi there,
I am quite new to XOOPS - I have a large pedigree database running on XOOPS since 4 years and now I have made up my mind to understand this all
Now to my problem:
There are a lot of people entering data to this database and I really NEED to know when somebody is changing a dog's information.
So I choose from notifications options in my modul "animal" the following options:
Individual dog: changes
Individual dog: comments added
and then "notify me of all selected updates per email" in my user profile.
The I made a csv file and imported this to the database - so all dogs are activated for notification!
Then I started testing (using a different user):
when I add a comment to a dog I get an email
when I change a dog's data nothing happens
PLEASE - can anybody help me with this - it's really important to me!

Did it also not work with the dogs where you did the notification settings manually?

no - it was just the same, and the import did work for sure, because I got a notification when a comment was added

Were can we download the module to test it?

I put it online on: http://www.williewalker.at/animal.zip - the complete module folder (I do not possess the original modul) - if it's necessary for you to get access codes, please tell me an email to send them...

The zip is downloaded, you may take it away. (It contains all animal images, making it much heavier than needed.)
I will try to test it next week.

I am sorry, I deleted one folder of images, seems I have stumbled over another - thanks again

Try to download and updating (do backups before!) with the new version at Yahoo groups (requires joining).
