error upgrading Xoops 2.3.3 ---> 2.4

I run a small site with Xoop 2.3.3 and i thought its time to upgrade

i have gone through the steps as they are inhttps://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5064
the htdocs files overwrite the files on the server, Move the "upgrade" folder inside the "htdocs" folder, inserted page issued on debug mode to default theme
If I'm going to www.meineseite.de/upgrade wants to immediately jump into the folder /upgrade/install/index.php?
This does not exist!
I tried with the original from xoops.org and the German version 2.4 from myxoops
can you give me an advice what exactly I do wrong?

You just have to type:
www.meineseite.de/upgrade

not this one : www.meineseite.de/upgrade/install/index.php?

wenn i type www.meineseite.de/upgrade the site www.meineseite.de/upgrade/install/index.php? come automatical thats my problem

for me it's a blank page, are you sure you have uploaded the "upgrade" folder inside the "htdocs" ?

You have probably overwritten the mainfile.php file with an empty one.

Do you have a backup? If yes, copy the mainfile.php back to your XOOPS directory.

the complete folder "upgrade" in the folder htdocs, in the "upgrade" folder are other folders like cnt, upd etc pp also many php files like index.php, language.php and other

wenn i open the /upgrade/language.php i see a white screen
wenn i open directly upgrade/index.php it will go to the no exist folder "install" in the upgrade folder -.-

the mainfile.php was wrong, thx for the help
