Article 1.0 RSS feed problems

I have a couple of sites that run 2.3.3 plus Article 1.0, both of the sites are a completely new 2.3.3 install but the db tables for article 1.0 were moved into the new install. Now when I post an article the RSS feed doesn't get updated it's like it's stuck in the past, showing only old articles. I have tried everything I know and I am left scratching my head.

It's the reason I have asked about Article 2.0RC previously, hoping that it may solve the problem, obviously I am still waiting for Article 2.0RC to move forward, so now I am asking what could be wrong with Article 1.0 to cause this problem.

Is it only happening for me?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

With Debug on, when I go to the main article index it has these errors

Warning: include_once(/modules/article/include/functions.cache.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file /Frameworks/art/functions.ini.php line 83

Re: Article 1.0 RSS feed problems

Update: I have decided to start using the News module, I have a lot of work to do transferring articles manually, but RSS works, it's a PITA, but what ya gonna do.

I will persist with the Article module on one site because I think it's the ultimate "article type module", but I really need RSS updates between sites, so News is fine and simpler in a good way for the type of members I have, they used to get a bit freaked out by Article module, whereas I love it's features and its complicated nature lol.

looks like a problem with Frameworks, perhaps.

Is your frameworks up to date? I have found that in some cases, despite the supposed integration of parts of frameworks into the core, for some modules I need files from earlier frameworks versions.

Yes I think you are right Sail, there are a few Frameworks versions out there now, there is also at least 2 or maybe 3 Article 1.0's out there, I really have tried all that I could find and I am just lost now, it's why I was hoping for Article 2.0, so I could get back to a benchmark so to speak, Article 2.0 and the correct Frameworks for it would be excellent.

It's quite interesting when you actually take the time to go through some of the files, they seem to be quite different, some non existant when you compare what's in the folders.

As I say it's still my favourite article type module and will perservere with it on another site, News is actually better than I thought, having now configured it and slowly working out what does what. In one of the Article 1.0 modules it has an export to "News" script in it, I tried it but it only exported about six articles, though it did export all of the Categories.

Cheers ;o)
