I am dutch so sorry for my english.

This morning I logged in to my site and after I was forwarded to my starting page as usual I didn't get the blocks to see who are only normally only visible to me (webmaster), so I tried typing admin.php but he said I didn't have the rights to......

I run XOOPS 2.0 version most up to date aswell the module protector also up to date.
The site is still accessable for the public and nothing seems to be altered.

lol, this doesn't mean that you have been hacked. It means that you could possibly either have some database corruption or an issue with sessions on your server.

1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
2. Do a check and repair on your database tables.
3. Try using a different browser.
4. Turn on php, there are a few threads within this forum to enable php debugging without having direct access to the admin area.

Let us know how you get on.

Hello Catzwolf thanks for your quick response.

1. have done that,
2. also and discovered that 2 tables are corrupt my session table and protector_accesses I marked them for repair and got the response the tables are already up to date.
3. no difference
4. haven't done that jet, have to search first how to.

I also cleared my cache and templates_c folders.

Keep you informed.

Well i alos had informed my host of my problem and that I suspected I was hacked, wich wasn't so, and they have repaired those 2 sql tables.
After that i was able to log in again, they said they were very badly damaged..but oke I can continue my work.

Could this be caused by caching?

Caching? I don't think so.
Those two tables are used when people connect to the site. That those two get corrupt may indicate, that your site was under attack. Check the Apache logs for unusual access.
However it may be coincidentally and has some disturbance or stress situation on the server as cause.
