I need Webshow/JW Media Player subtitle help...

I've put up a flv video to my site here: http://kainaistudies.com/modules/webshow/singlelink.php?lid=83

As I understand it it is possible to use subtitles that overlay the video. Can anyone tell me where to put the subtitle file, which type of file to use, and any other tips or suggestions?

Thanks.

Oki napi

To show text subtitles over a WebShow video, create an xml captions file, save it to any public directory (I keep mine in the same directory as the video) and then enter the xml file's url into the "Captions" field.

Please see the WebShow Tutorial titled Add Text Captions to Video to view a demo and a sample captions file.

Frank!

Great to hear from you. As you can see I'm finding some great uses for your software. This time around I'm using it to translate a Blackfoot prayer by my grandmother.

The modified phraseology module you coded for me is great by the way. I had a smile on my face with your reply in Blackfoot.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out now. I'll keep in touch.

Excellent, I have it working now. Thanks Frank.

Two tips for any future users; use the application "Subtitle Workshop" and save your files as *.srt files.
