I am getting teh error message below not all the time but got it several times. The hosting company are not helpful. Can any one help please. Thanks

The FastCGI Handler was unable to process the request.

The FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeout
Error Number: 258 (0x80070102).
Error Description: The wait operation timed out.
HTTP Error 500 - Server Error.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

It means that the php scripts are terminated because they where not completed in the by your hoster configured amount of time.
This is usual the case when the server gets to heavy loaded (your domain is 1 of the 150 present) and because the sharing and concurrent run the scripts get not completed in time.
Things you can do are eg don't exaggerate with blocks and switch cache on where possible.
Open a ticket at your hoster. If he fails to extend running time or to unload the server by moving some domains to another server, there is only one solution: switch operator.
