I have the same problem. I upgraded from 2.0.16 to 2.0.18.
It comes once in a while. I have to refresh the page and then only it will go off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There seem to be a lot of problems with 2.0.18. That's why I'm still using 2.0.17.1 and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon.

I'm getting this occasionally on a fairly fresh install (2.0.18) and fresh database

Also noticed when I try to sync the forum in newbb/cbb 308 it gives me : error 134 from storage engine.

Whether that contains a clue in it I have no idea.

Debian GNU/Linux
MySQL Version : MySQL Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.11, for pc-linux-gnu (i386)

Happen to me some times when there is not good conection to the database, sometimes a server hiccup, once the connection is back to normality, the message just dissapear

same error but my site didn't work at all.!

Could be a number of things.

1. in mainfile.php, check that the database name, database username and database password are correct.

2. if you made the database yourself in, say phpMyadmin, make sure that the database username and password are correct and made sure that the database user has been added to the database.

3. make sure that the database is available to be used, i.e. the server is working.

Think i've done all that. used phpadmin. uname and pword are correct. database user is added.

mainfile.php dunno if those things are correct. and how do i know that the database is available to be used?

solved. but i can't use the admin menu i get a white page. how to solve this?

Hi Ray,

1. Clear out all the files (except index.html files) in all folders in your xoops_data folder

2. Make sure that your xoops_data folder and all sub-folders are writeable.

Let us know if this makes a difference.

well 1st was already done 2nd did it now. third i forgot about adminmenu from the cache folder. copied this from the old site and now it works. but now i get a notification that my mainfile.php is writeable. what to do about this? chmod ??? (? stands for number)
