Anyone have a doc/forum-post that can guide me to adding notifications to an existing module?

Thanks

Thanks saw that link. But after modifying xoops_version, creating notification.inc, and creating an email template... i have no idea what to do.

It just leaves me hanging. Any hints?

Ok... I now added the "triggerevent" code to my module php page.

I tried it out... but no notification and no errors that I can see.

Is there a notification log that I can use to debug? Or any other tips on debugging the new code?

Thanks

You might not get a notification for events that you trigger yourself, e.g. you won't be notified of a forum post in these forums that your yourself posted.

Is this the problem?

Thanks for reply.

I'm actually using a second browser that's not logged into my site (ie anonymous user) and using the module that way.

So it should trigger something, right?

Sounds like it should.

As my site's webmaster, I get a notification when I post things using my ordinary user's account.

When you set the notification does it appear in your "Notifications" in the your User Menu?
