How to add new theme

I am trying to add a new template to my project. When I try to add a template, it says that only .tar or.tar.gz files allowed, where as all the templates available for XOOP's are in zipped format.

How do I add it.

I am totally new to XOOP's

Unzip your downloaded theme. Upload it to the directory:
yoursite.com/themes/

Go to your admin/system admin/preferences, now click 'general settings'.
Here you can set the setting of your:(8th row) Default theme: your theme of choice.
