Is A Unofficial Reunion Possible of Xoops, Xoops Cube & Hodajuku?

The XOOPS project has been split for a long time now. With the recent changes here at XOOPS could a reunion be possible with all the devs?

Read minahito post.

Gijoe's new project

-----

Things XOOPS done to bring back open source and freedom to this project.

The support of onokazu. A+
All ads are now gone. A+
No private clubs. A+
New server not under the control of a foundation. A+

What else would XOOPS need to do to bring back all the devs?

1) There seems to be an issue about the word "official" and "unofficial" over at XC. Is this just a word that needs to be removed?
2) The word XoopsCouncil is this needed? Why cant XOOPS be fun again. Can we take the rest of the "business aspect" out of xoops?

Please list things that XOOPS needs to do. I would like to see all the devs get back together again on a level playing field. Dj & Ono have taken major steps towards a reunion.

Please past and present devs of xoops. Please respond for the greater of the code.

Huh?
Please explain?
What are you talking about. You think I accuse someone of something? I dont see where I accuse anyone of anything.

I see this a positive post. I am not quite sure why you took it as negative?

Irmtfan,
I believe it is a legimate question, and I didn't see anything anatognist it the way it was presented.

I also note the following:

1) The support of onokazu. A+
2) All ads are now gone. A+
3) No private clubs. A+
4) New server not under the control of a foundation. A+

And echo the question.

I've be reading up a little about the word "official" as seen in a devs eyes. Does this word disrespect the developers from other countries? I am sure it not meant to be disrespectful to any developer but yet it seems it is.

Irmtfan,
I too believe it would be nice to persue this topic in a more productive way than on the support forums.

I invite you, Script_Fu to set us up a place in the wiki, to futher this discussion. If you need help I will work with you.

Then we can leave the support forums for support.

That may have been what Irmtfan was being bothered by, if so, I can see the point.

I was unaware of yet another fork. Interesting thank you for the heads up.

They have an impressive dev list already.

Anyway Marco your post is what inspired my post. Thank you! I would like this to be a productive thread. Not one that is political. I really think after years of different views we are on the right track.

Just the mere fact that Ono approved of the new direction of XOOPS speaks volumes to me. Ono deserves alot of respect. He has had the wisdom all along and belives in Dj!

I think Dj made the right choice across the board. Now what concerns me is what else can be done to bring the devs back.

'simply' to act as professionals, and have fun, IMHO.
