Hi. I've deleted the original banners with the XOOPS logos on 'em and want to add a new banner to my website. But when I create a new HTML banner in Misc. Tools: Banners, it automatically takes place at the top of the page, although I want it to be in the right column. How do I change the position of new banners? Thank you.

Banner location is determined by the banner code in your site's theme.html file.

You will need to edit theme.html to move the banner code into the right column. Sounds like the code is currently in the header area.

you also have the option of displaying your banner in a custom block.

Look, but I haven't found the lie in theme.html that I have to replace. There's nothing with my banner's ID etc. Can you tell me what the line looks like?

About custom block: it works alright thank you

It's a "smarty" thing:

<{$xoops_banner}>

Move this to the right column part of theme.html and position it where you want the banners to show, i.e. above or below the blocks.

Hope this is a bit clearer

Hi,

You can try RM-Banner module. It is much more flexible (you can define different banner positions and so on)...
