I have my user timezone set to gmt+10
server timezone is set as GMT

when I save an event date and time, ie 01/12/2006:08:30

its displayed as 01/12/2006:18:30

Seems it adds the timezone difference when displaying
but does not subtract the timezone difference when saving

Any suggestions

I have the same problem. I am surprised not more people have mentioned this problem as it is a very serious one because it renders the Calendar almost useless, unless of course every Internet user lives in the same time zone!!!

Which version of ExtCal are you using?

I see you made the same comments in the module repositiry. The version of extcal in the modules repository is a bit old. The latest stable version is 2.0.4 and it's available from the developer at http://www.zoullou.net/

It may well be that this issue has been sorted. If not them post a message in zoullou's forums. Zoullou is an active developer and will get back to you for sure.

I'm on GMT so not sure about the timezone issue, but I can recommend upgrading eXtcal to the latest version, especially if you run Smartsection. I experienced a conflict with the eXtcal 'Minical' block. Upgrading eXtcal fixed it.

Actually, it's a pig to find eXtcal 2.04 for download on sourceforge. You need to go to the sourceforge eXtcal project page, scroll down and select 'View older releases from eXtcal package. You then have to scroll down that page and click the [+] sign next to 2.0.4. to reveal the files.

I'm amazed anybody finds it at all!
