News 1.3 question

I've installed the news 1.3 module. Now i want to delete the print, mail afriend and pdf function. I dit change the news_archive.html and news_article.html in the templates directory but without result. The icons and links are still there! Who has a solution? Thanks.

update the module in the modules manager

same problem here but updating the module doesn't help
its probably something very basic i forgot...
