installation problem (viewing) message boards. Scroll right?

not sure why but i installed newbb
along with doing the uploads of FRAMEWORKS and xoopseditor

im not sure but i might have forgotten to do something with the editor?

i simply uploaded Frameworks and editor (lastest updates)
then installed the boards through Module installation from admin panel

I got an error when doing it which said xoops_bb_user_stats already exists
i went into my SQL administation end of my domain and removed the table xoops_bb_user_stats

then went back to my ADMIND > Modules and did the installation again of newbb which took just fine

however now i look at my boards and i see this

http://www.grooveclip.com/groove/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=1

need to scroll right to see one of the generated tables
it only shows this way when looking at a thread
and not the main forums.

please advise boys

also if i need to uninstall the boards and do an upload of Frameworks + editor in a specific way please let me know of htat too.

It might be a good idea to allow anonymous to view. So people don't have to join your site.

of course thats just an idea ;o)

sorry about that

all straight now.. ALL should be able to see ALL sections (even though i havent made any new ones lol )

still can't see it ;o) how does it look to you if you are not logged in? The only entry I see in the main menu is "Home". If the forum was accessible and visible you would see "Forum" as well or is that CBB, don't remember but you can change it to what you want.

Go to Admin >>> groups, and check Module access rights for anonymous.

Then you also have the actual module permissions in Admin >>> newbb/Forum >>> Permissions. Start with the first step though.

This is all from memory but you will get the idea

i just noticed something

i tested looking at the forums after i logged out

i was looking at it as anonymous
when i logged in as admin it was all messed up

Ok I see the same, just for the hell of it try another theme, maybe Morphogenisis 2.0 or one based on that template/theme

you installed newbb? you mean cbb? and what version?

its definitely a theme issue, regardless of all that.

Try any theme other than default.

if you read the information above i think youll see whats wrong

i installed NewBB2
and i was understanding according to the posts here that i then needed to install
FRAMEWORKS and XOOPSEDITOR to make it work
also i am not using default theme
i was using xt2 or whatever its called



is this correct or not?

Heres what i would like
link to download the latest working version of message boards ( not beta )
link to download any additional plugins needed to make it work


or
should i just uninstall the newbb
download the CBB
upload the CBB
install the CBB

if i do the second choice..... wont the NEWBB tables still be in the database or are they removed / altered when a module uninstall takes place?

CBB 3.08

CBB is like the latest version of NewBB, as far as I know the tables in the Database should be the same, well maybe a few extra I don't know. I think you just upload CBB and it should be fine, but why not just uninstall NewBB and start again seeing you have Frameworks and Xoopseditor stuff installed. I say this because you are just starting the site so you have nothing to lose as such, so start a fresh.
