I have been using a older version of XOOPS and have been iching to upgrade, I come back and *POW* all this stuff about new system, module repos' closed..

"The module repository is currently closed for new module releases as a new system is coming soon"

what gives? should I wait, is it a new version of Xoops, should I crawl back in my hole?

It started with... no, that's not working...

Uhm... you see... Xoops... people... leaving...
Darn that will take some time this way...

Easiest way to say this: yep, module rep's are closed; new system release date: please will YOU pick a date?

Better find a good doc for that itch, 'cause it will itch for a long time to come I guess...

Update:
a little birdie told me 1 or 2 months before new version will be released.

Personal note from me: this is the news I've been waiting for! I hope it's been tested well and the introduction will be a succes, this community needs some good news and to me this is it!

Hmm. two paths, one August minor release and end of year major? I hope people stick around that long.. not that we pay very much for it ;0)
