I created my own wiki space so that I could learn the language and possibly learn how to use the templateing feature to make this project move along the intended path.

I understood Davidl's link to be an invite to participate on the wiki site. Apparently it isn't open yet.

Bluestocking, I do appreciate much your interest at contributing at the wiki. I saved the post you did at < this link >, so it's not going to be erased from the wiki site, but the discussion tab will probably be removed. Managing discussion threads is much easier in the forum.

The reason I told you to ask your main questions here at the XOOPS forum is because the wiki is conformed by people who wish to be documentators of XOOPS and I saw that your questions were focused to the area of managing the addons structure. So for the people that are managing the addons site, it would be much easier for them to see your questions here than there at the wiki.

I am learning to use the wiki as much as the other people, but at the wiki forums I'll be glad to assist you in working out ways to make the layout of your document be as you want.

So for creating a template for specific document, you are welcome to post a discussion about this at the wiki forum.

For asking about modules, the place would be here at the XOOPS forums.

I see the wiki site up. There has been problems with slowness of the server, but the site is open and everyone is welcome.

I wonder if anyone would like to take a stab at answering these two questions. AS posted on the Wiki discussion in error and on the forum at

Now for my questions.

1) I would like to help here but am having a problem figuring out where I might start. Having recognized many of the module producers names as being active posters, it would seem an infringement on their territory for me to list their modules since I obviously don't know nearly as much (or even anything at all) about them as their producers. If those who were going to document their own would provide their name and a list it might help to be able to select other modules for me to list.

2) There is a whole list of modules in the alphabetized list; however there is a warning to watch what may be selected from there since the 2005 site hacking there have been no updates. IS IT POSSIBLE to send the owners/producers of those modules an email with the template and a request they let us know the status of the modules they have developed?

This boils down to being a judgment call on whether to post a certain module I didn't produce and I am not sure I have the ability to make that call. If someone in authority wishes to provide a list, or create the page then maybe those of us, not so in the know, can start to fill in the blanks.

ADDON: I honestly don't know ...now, why it is important to duplicate what had already been done. I have another question now. MediaWiki is a stand alone program that does not depend on xoops, and it is free. What purpose is being served here?

Never mind.. I think I will just get a life! This thing is going around in circles chasing its own tail.

I think I will go weed and mow ... makes a lot more sense.

Snow, Here is the code for the table of contents for the operations manual. I can't get onto your site... Way to slow also not IE6 friendly. You can copy and paste into the MediaWiki. IF YOU WANT IT!!!
